A Letter From Dave:
After 18 years in business, the Helmet Center is now closed. Many factors have brought us to this point. The current economic climate, inflation, rising commercial rent, rising wages, rising product costs, changes in consumer spending habits, less people shopping local, and more.
While we’ve tried our best to overcome these challenges over the last few years, collectively they have just become a bigger obstacle each and every year. Since our lease is now up, we’ve made the difficult decision to close it down, and get on to the next chapters in our lives.
Over the last 18 years, we’ve had the fortune of meeting lots of great people, making lifelong friends, and had some great riding experiences. If we are remembered for anything, it would be our support of the local riding community, and that hopefully we have saved a few lives by encouraging proper sizing, and investing in quality riding equipment.
While this wasn’t the finish we envisioned when we started this, the retail landscape, and the current consumer are very different today than they were in 2006.
We appreciate the last 18 years, and the support we had. Thank you to everyone that helped give us almost 2 decades working in the motorcycle industry, and like always . . .
